Freshman Tennis Trials.

Matches played in the trials for the Freshman tennis team Friday afternoon resulted as follows: M. A. Hofer defeated C. H. Smith, 6-4, 7-5; F. A. Keep defeated P. R. Mechem, 6-3, 9-7.

The following matches are to be played on Jarvis Field this afternoon at 3.30 o'clock: W. H. Claflin, Jr. vs. T. J. Coolidge, E. S. Draper, Jr. vs. D. C. Josephs, S. S. Bigelow vs. C. H. Smith, M. A. Hofer vs. D. Kimball, G. M. Gates vs. J. C. Jennings.

Two Lectures by C. C. Batchelder '89.

The first of two lectures will be given on "What a Business Man Expects from an Engineer," by C. C. Batchelder '89, of Boston, in Room 202 of Pierce Hall, this afternoon at 4 o'clock. The second lecture will be delivered on Wednesday afternoon and the subject for it will be "The Art of Handling Men." Both lectures will be open to the public.

Interclass Tennis Entries Close.

Entries for the interclass tennis tournament, which begins tomorrow, will close this evening at 6 o'clock. The entry book for the three upper classes is at Leavitt & Peirce's; the entry book for the Freshmen is at the Rendezvous.
