To the Editors of the CRIMSON:

Announcement has been made of a recital of 16th century music, by the Appleton Chapel Choir this afternoon at 4.45.

I should like to call attention to a fact, which, although well known in Boston musical circles, does not seem to be generally realized by the student body of the University--that Harvard possesses perhaps the best trained male choir, devoted to church music, in the country.

To my knowledge, there is no other organization in America, which devotes most of its time to the study and rendition of works of Palestrina, Vittoria, Arcadelt, Viadana, etc. It is a rare opportunity to hear a recital of these classics, and members of the University ought not to fail to take advantage of it.
