Raphael Altamira, Professor of General History of Spanish Common Law at the University of Oviedo, Spain, will deliver a lecture on "Literature as the Fountain of Spanish History" in Emerson D next Tuesday evening at 8 o'clock. His lecture will be given under the auspices of Harvard University, the Club Espanola of Boston, and members of La Sociedad Espanola of the University.

Professor Altamira is one of the most celebrated European historians, a member of the Royal Academy of History, and one of the Civil Order of Alphonso XII. He intended coming to this country last year after a successful visit to the southern Spanish-American republics, but was prevented by illness. The main object of his visit is to bring about a closer relation between the Spanish American republics and Spain.
