Two more games were played in the preliminary round of the scrub baseball series on Soldiers Field yesterday afternoon. The Jeffs defeated the Mutts by the score of 7 to 2 and the Prickly Heats defeated the Black handers by the score of 12 to 5.
This afternoon at 2.30 o'clock the Squabs will play the Prospect Union and at 4 o'clock the Nine Muses will meet the Wanderers. Both games will be played on the diamond north of the Freshman, diamond.
The captains of the teams qualifying for the round robin tournament are reminded of rule V: "Changes in the members of the teams will be allowed at the beginning of the round robin series; but they must be submitted to the managers of the series for their approval. After the start of the round robin, no changes will be allowed. Failure to comply with this rule will mean the forfeiture of a game for each change." The round robin series will probably begin next Tuesday.
