There will be a one-mile race in the Basin at 5 o'clock this afternoon between the second and third Freshman eights. The crew which wins this race will become the second Freshman crew.
On Saturday, the second Freshmen will race Groton at Groton over a one-mile course. On the same day the third Freshmen will race Middlesex over a half-mile straightaway course in the Basin.
The orders for the race today are as follows:
Second Freshman crew.--Stroke, Eckfeldt; 7, Roosevelt; 6, Sullivan; 5, Handy; 4, Eager; 3, Morgan; 2, Chadwick; bow, Parker; cox., Brownlee.
Third Freshman crew.--Stroke, David, 7, Parmenter; 6, Weston; 5, Frothingham; 4, Vickery; 3, Talbot; 2, Sargent; bow, Day; cox., Bowne.
