The University hockey team held practice for three-quarters of an hour in the Boston Arena yesterday afternoon. In the preliminary work two sets of forwards were sent against two separate defensive combinations. Practice ended with a 15-minute scrimmage between the first and second sevens, in which Hornblower, Pratt and Duncan each scored one goal for the first team. The team-play of both sides was undeveloped, the goals, scored being the result of individual brilliancy. Gardner's good work at goal prevented the second from scoring.
The first team lined up as follows: l.e., Leslie; l.c., Duncan; r.c., Hornblower; r.c., J. R. Pratt; c.p., Houston; p., Blackall; g., Gardner.
