The University cross-country team will hold its seventh annual run with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology this afternoon at 3 o'clock. The race will be held over the Chestnut Hill course for the first time. This course has been shortened to 5 miles, and now consists of a 3-mile and a 2-mile circuit. The start and finish will be near the corner of Boylston street and Dunster road, Chestnut Hill. From this point spectators may obtain a good view of the start, the 3-mile mark, and the finish.

Each team will be composed of 12 men, and the first six of each to finish will score. The places will count according to their numerical value, and the team having the smaller total will win. The first three men to finish will receive cups, and the winning team will be presented with a banner.

Of the previous races Technology has won four, and the University two. In today's race Technology will have five of its six point winners of last year's team, which won from Harvard, 27 to 62. P. R. Withington '12, E. L. Viets '11, P. C. Heald '11, and W. P. Rogers '11 are the only veterans on the University team. Captain H. Jaques, Jr., '11 and H. P. Lawless '13 have been doing well this fall, and today's contest should be close.
