New Teachers' Courses in Classics

A course in Greek and Latin for teachers has been arranged by the Faculty of Arts and Sciences to be given on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday afternoons at 3.30 o'clock during the second half-year. It will be open to both men and women and will include instruction in the methods and equipment of a teacher of the classics in secondary schools. The course will be conducted by Associate Professor C. P. Parker, and will consist of lectures, discussions, prescribed reading, and illustrations of class work. For information about registration, application should be made to Professor J. H. Ropes, University Hall, Cambridge.

In subsequent years the following similar afternoon courses for teachers will be given:

Greek 15--The Homeric Poems, with studies of their literary influence. Tuesday, Thursday, at 3.30, and a third hour to be arranged.

Latin 15--The works of Virgil, with studies of his sources, and of his literary influence. Tuesday, Thursday, at 3.30, and a third hour to be arranged.

A fee of $7.50 will be charged for a half course and $15 for a full course.
