Yale Tied Brown Though Outplayed

Yale was tied by Brown, 10 to 10, at New Haven last Saturday. The visiting team outplayed Yale at every point and might have won the game, had it been more proficient in kicking goals from touchdowns. Brown scored the first touchdown early in the game by a forward pass to Dennie, left end, after Coy had fumbled a punt. The try for goal failed. Towards the end of the first half, Coy kicked a goal from placement from the 22-yard line, making the score 5 to 4. In the second half, a quarterback run and a forward pass gave Yale its only touchdown. Hobbs kicked the goal. Soon after, Dennie intercepted a Yale pass and scored for Brown. A poor kickout prevented a goal. At the very end of the game, McKay, of Brown, crossed the Yale goal on a long run, but was called back because of holding.

The Yale line-up was as follows: l.e., Logan; l.t., Hobbs; l.g., Andrus; c., Biddle, Cooney; r.g., Goebel; r.t., Brown; r.e., Warren, Haines; q.b., Murphy, Johnson; l.h.b., Philbin; r.h.b., Brides, Daly; f.b., Coy, Fields.
