Fellowship in Greek Studies Awarded

The Charles Eliot Norton Fellowship in Greek studies for the year 1905-06 has been awarded to J. S. Martin 1G., of St. Louis, for a thesis on "The Nineteenth Century German Interpretation of the Spirit of Ancient Greek Religion and Literature." According to the terms of the fellowship he will pursue his studies during the year of his incumbency at the American School of Classical Studies at Athens. Martin graduated from Washington University, St. Louis, in 1903. He will leave for Athens next August, with the intention of returning to Cambridge after the completion of his year abroad. His thesis will be published by the editors of the "Harvard Studies in Classical Phililogy."
