About $7,000 still remains to be raised for the Lowell Estate Fund between now and the first of May.

Yesterday the Cornell freshman crew squad was cut down from fifty to twenty men. Captain Courtney considers this the finest squad of freshmen candidates which Cornell has ever had.

President Dwight of Yale sent a telegram to President McKinley on Monday evening, assuring him that "Yale University regards with cordial satisfaction" his efforts to maintain peace.

At the Christian Association meeting this evening men who have attended the Northfield summer conference in former years will speak. Last year 136 institutions were represented by over 600 delegates and this year the association hopes that Harvard will send at least 30 men.

The work of the two football teams for the past week has consisted principally of running through signals. Games of about ten minute halves will be played tomorrow and Friday afternoon, thus bringing spring football practice to an end, for this year. Since Dibblee joined his class crew, F. D. Cochrane '99, has been put in charge of his team.

On Monday afternoon enough candidates for five eight-oared crews made their appearance at the B. A. A. float. The schools represented were: Noble and Greenough's, Stones, English High, Volkman's, and Cambridge High and Latin. Yesterday candidates from Roxbury Latin, Mechanic Arts, and Boston Latin reported at the float but did not row.
