New Dormitory.

The old Shaler and Hunnewell properties on Bow street, near Young's training tables, have been purchased by Mr. C. D. Wetmore of New York, the owner of Claverly Hall and Apley Court, and ground will soon be broken for a new students' dormitory there. The area of the property is about 17,000 square feet.

The plans by Mr. John E. Howe, a New York architect, are for a four story brick building with sandstone trimmings after the style of Apley Court. There will be twenty-eight suites in all, five single and two double suites on each floor. Each suite will be provided with private bath and the interior will be like that of Claverly. The range of prices is from $175 to $250 for a single and from $300 to $400 for a double suite. The plans are to be seen at Thurston's but the rooms have all been rented, the building to be ready for occupancy at the beginning of the next college year. The name has not yet been decided upon.
