The editorials of the forthcoming number of the Advocate show the usual midyear dilution, but are for the most part timely.
Of the three main stories, "Sophomores Three" is easily the most readable. It has quaintness and charm, qualities not often found in college periodicals. "A Money-making Scheme" is a novel incident amusingly described with a good deal of college atmosphere. The author of "An Indiana Pioneer" evidently knows his ground thoroughly and has covered it well.
The poetry of this number is rather below the standard of the paper, though "One Waning Moon" is entertaining in spite of its sentimentality.
As a whole, this issue of the Advocate is of average worth.
