Joint Debate.

Three Harvard debaters defeated a team from Dartmouth at Dorchester on Wednesday evening. The question was: "Resolved, That municipalities of 25,000 or more inhabitants, in the United States, should own and operate plants for supplying water, light, and surface transportation." This was the question on which Dartmouth defeated Williams last year and two of the three speakers Wednesday were members of last year's Dartmouth team.

The affirmative was supported by E. P. Seelman, G. A. Green, and G. A. Ham of Dartmouth, and the negative by the Harvard speakers, E. O. Gould 1900, W. L. Baker '96, and L. G. O. Smith 1900.
