Hare and Hound Run.

The first hare and hound run in which about twenty-five men took part, was held yesterday afternoon. Owing to a delay in getting the paper for the trail the men did not start until 4.35 o'clock.

Grant and Burton, who were the hares, picked a very good course, about seven miles in length. They went down Broadway and over Putnam avenue, thence across the Cottage Farm Bridge to Coolidge's corner and back by the way of North Harvard street. The break was made opposite Soldiers Field. None of the hounds finished within the eight minute limit so only the first two will receive prizes.

The first four men finished very closely together, thirteen minutes after the hares, in the following order: H. B. Clark 1901, O. W. Richardson '99, R. A. Garrison 1900, A. W. Blakemore L. S. Clark and Richardson will be hares in the next run, which will be held Friday, November 19, weather permitting.
