Gun Club Challenge.

As it is Harvard's turn to challenge Yale for the annual shooting match at Springfield, the following letter has been sent to Captain Franklin of the Yale Shooting Club:

Mr. F. S. Franklin, Captain Y. S. C.,

Dear Sir:

The Harvard Shooting Club challenges the Yale Shooting Club to a match to be shot November 24th or 25th at or near Springfield, as may be agreed upon later, under the conditions usually governing the Yale-Harvard matches, namely, each team to consist of five (5) men, each man to shoot at 30 birds, fifteen at a time, three unknown angles from one trap (or three set so as to be the same as one trap). The rules of the American Shooting Association to decide on other points.

Yours sincerely,

J. SARGENT, Capt. H. S. C.An effort will be made to get better accommodations for the match as the traps and birds last year were anything but satisfactory. If the match is to count for the "Shooting and Fishing" Cup, the gun clubs of Princeton and the University of Pennsylvania will be asked to send up representative teams.
