Interscholastic Base Ball Championship.

Cambridge Latin Wins, IO-6.

The final game, between the Boston Latin and Cambridge Latin School nine, was played yesterday afternoon on Jarvis field, Cambridge winning the game, and thus the cup. Boston Latin was crippled by the loss of their captain, Whittemore, who was one of the best batters on the team. This loss was partially made up to them in the last, half of the first inning, when Chase, the Cambridge catcher, had his finger put out of joint, and was prevented from playing any farther. Stark was put in his place, and played a very good game. Cambridge played the stronger game of the two, and was especially good in sacrificing at the right time. Both of the batteries were hit very freely, and only two men were struck out. For Boston, Wilder, Twombly, and Dreyfus played the strongest game, while Whittemore, Wrenn and Moore did most of the fielding for Cambridge. What few errors were made were costly; Quinn's wild pitches being especially so.

The hits were well bunched on both sides. Boston Latin made three runs in the first two innings, two in the seventh, and one more in the ninth. Cambridge made three runs in the first inning on two wild pitches, one each in the fifth and sixth, two in the seventh and the last three in the eighth and ninth.
