Freshman scholarships, for which applications were received prior to November 1, 1890, and which were awarded on the basis of class standing during the first half year, were announced yesterday. The total amount given out was $3,000. All the Bright and Bigelow prizes were awarded, besides a generous portion of Price Greenleaf Aid. The awards were as follows:

It is possible that more Price Greenleaf money will be given out if the faculty sees a need for such distribution.
