Longworth, '91, has stopped training with the 'varsity crew.

The Wesleyan Glee Club has been on a tour as far west as Chicago.

Princeton will play Johns Hopkins at Princeton next Saturday.

The Cornell nine has won five out of the six games played this spring.

A handicap tennis tournament will be played by Beck Hall men next week.

Prof. L. B. R. Briggs will conduct English 5 next year in Prof. Hill's absence.

Prof. Briggs has not succeeded in having the examination in English 12 dispensed with this year.

C. G. Van Brunt, '92, and T. Hoppin, '93, were elected members of the Electric Club last evening.

The yale sophomores have elected H. A. Bayne fence orator, and the freshmen John T. Robinson.

English C next year will consist of six forensics instead of four. There will be no prescribed senior English in future years.

There will be a written examination in N. H. 8 next Wednesday, and field examinations on the regular field days of the various sections next week.

There are four college players on this year's New York league team, Young of Harvard, Clarke of Williams, Turner of Amherst, and Dorey of Hamilton.

Dr. John C. Rolte, of the Latin Department, has accepted an election as assistant professor of Latin in the University of Michigan, and will begin his work there next autumn.

There will be an hour examination in N. H. 4 next Wednesday at 12. Members of the course are requested to hand in blue books to Mr. Cobb, room 2 of the museum, before next Monday.

'93 will play the game with the Amherst freshmen, scheduled for May 31, next Saturday on Jarvis field. The Amherst team recently beat the Yale freshmen by a score of 6 to 4.

The Board of Overseers of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology have determined to present a number of new courses in English, Natural History and other subjects next year. Several Harvard graduates are among those who have been engaged to teach.

The Physics A lecture of May 8 was the last of the course. Additional reference books for those who have taken Dr. Hall's lectures are Meadowcrofts A B C of Electricity, and Houston's Dictionary of Electrical Terms. These books may be found in the college library.
