The Princeton athletic constitution has been amended by a mass meeting held recently so as to make the Advisory committee consist of five members instead of the previous three.

For the past few weeks the Sunday services have been conducted by speakers from abroad.

The first number of the second volume of the Princeton College Bulletin has just been issued, the leading article being about "The Special Student," by Professor Marquand.

The new Chemical Laboratory will be begun very soon. The building, which is to be two stories high besides the basement, and entirely fire proof, will be situated on Nassau street. It is to contain two lecture rooms, two laboratories, and private rooms and laboratories for assistants; also a room for a mineral collection and a reading room. Besides these there will be a laboratory for assaying, another for chemical physics, and a third for advanced work and special research. The School of Science is at present so overcrowded that the relief that the new laboratory will afford, by granting ample accommodations for the Analytical, Chemistry and Mineralogy department is greatly needed.

A great snow ball fight occurred last Thursday between the freshmen and sophomores. As the students came out of Whig and Clio halls at 5.30 the sophomores lined up and opened fire on the freshmen. The freshmen charged, but were repulsed, and finally driven off the campus. They rallied later, and the fight was stopped only by darkness.
