Yesterday evening in Sever 11 a small audience listened to an interesting debate on the question, Resolved, That Prohibition is the most effective means of abolishing the evils of intemperance. The principal disputants were J. F. Morton '92 and A. S. Apsey '93, affirmative; F. W. Dallinger '93, A. P. Stone '93, negative. The debate as a whole was a great improvement on that of two weeks ago, but it is to be regretted that some speakers sacrifice arguments to personalities. The question chosen for the next time was, Resolved, That Reading and Writing be added to the qualifications necessary for voting.
