W. H. Anderson and Co., of Cincinnati, have just made a new venture in the publication of law books which bids fair to prove very successful. It is a list of "Questions and Answers to Anson on Contracts," by James R. Jordan, of Cincinnati college. The object of the book is to give succinctly the salient points of contract law, to train the student in asking and answering the question why in all matters of law, and particularly to clarify the subject for those who in their private studies may not have the benefit of the systematic quizzing of the recitation room. The book is by its nature somewhat of a venture. In its arrangement and its purpose, however, it is admirable and cannot fail to be of service to law students. We hope the success of the present volume on Contracts will warrant a like attempt in other departments of law.
