Foxhall Keene, '91, who was hurt over a week ago at football was out again yesterday.

Newell '92, who was injured in foot ball practice about three weeks ago has returned to college. He is still very lame.

Yale will play Amherst today in football at Amherst.

Princeton has organized an orchestra of twenty instruments.

The Yale reading room has on file twenty-seven of the college papers.

The second special reports in History 13 are out, and will be due December 7th.

Mrs. Caroline Donovan of Baltimore has just given $100,000 in cash to Johns Hopkins university.

The freshman class at Yale will soon be examined in the compulsory dumbbell exercise. The men will be examined in nineteen movements.

It has been decided to make the term of the full course of electrical engineering two years, and that of the special course one year, at Columbia.

The Yale News strongly urges the college Bicycle club to accept the challenge of the Harvard Bicycle club for a road race. As yet no answer has been sent by the club to Harvard's challenge.

Lee and Fearing were the half-backs on the 'varsity team in a practice game yesterday afternoon. White and Saxe occupied the same position on the second eleven. Holden and Adams coached the teams.

The Andover club here will give two prizes this year at Phillips Andover academy for excellence in English. These prizes were given last year also by the club. It is also probable that sometime during the winter a committee will be sent to Andover to give information and encouragement to any who may be hesitating between Harvard and the other colleges.
