Fact and Rumor.

Yale defeated Wesleyan on Saturday by a score of 62 points to 0.

Princeton defeated Stevens Institute at Princeton on Saturday, by a score of 58 to 0.

The Monthly will be out about the twentieth. The leading article will be by Phillips Brooks.

The first three rows of the Globe theatre were filled by Harvard students last Friday evening.

All special students who have not yet registered, are requested to do so immediately, in U. 5.

There were one hundred and fifty applicants refused admittance to Wellesley on account of a lack of accommodations.

P. S. and H. M. Sears defeated Shaw and Snow in the finals of the Longwood Tennis Club tournament by a score of 2-6, 6-4, 1-6, 10-8, 9-7.

In to-morrow's issue, a plan of the work in elocution with Mr. Hayes will be published. The instructor will not be in Holden Chapel again until he meets classes there.

Thursday night some freshmen tried to "pillage" a horse car standing near the station on Harvard Square. One of the Cambridge "finest" succeeded in capturing an unfortunate.

The Inter-collegiate tennis tournament opens to-morrow at New Haven. Harvard will be represented by Messrs. P. S. and H. M. Sears in the doubles and Messrs. Kuhn, Snow and Morgan in the singles.

The divisions of French 1 will meet as follows on Monday. 1st division, A to C, Sever 35, 9 o'clock. 2d division, L to Z, Sever 35, 10 o'clock. 3d division, (elementary), Sever A, 9 o'clock. 4th division, (advanced), Sever 23, 2 o'clock.

The first meeting of the Union will be held a week from Tuesday evening.

At the last meeting of the Hasty Pudding, the following officers were elected: President, G. S. Mumford; vice-president, F. S. Coolidge; secretary, G. Higginson; treasurer, Wm. Endicott; librarian, H. G. Brengle; Kr., F. S. Palmer; chorister, W. Forchheimer; custos, S. A. Houghton.
