BASE BALL NOTES.

In the game at New Haven, Saturday, between the Yales and Waterburys, the score was tied, 5 to 5.

But one game has been arranged for our nine this week, that with the Dartmouths on Thursday, but efforts are being made by the management for a game on Saturday.

The nine from the Memorial Hall waiters have procured new uniforms, and opened the season on Saturday by a game on the Common with the "Resolutes" of Boston. Score 15 to 6 in favor of the Resolutes.

The Beacons played their first game of the season with the Dartmouths on Saturday, and, although without the services of their best players, defeated them by a score of 14 to 7. The Beacons made 5 base hits and 29 errors; the Dartmouths, 9 base hits and 31 errors.

In the game between the Browns and Bostons, Saturday, the professionals defeated the collegians by a score of 13 to 3. The Bostons made 11 base hits, 16 total, and 6 errors; the Browns, 6 base hits, 6 total, and 19 errors. It will be remembered that on Thursday, the Browns, although beaten, made fifteen base hits off of Buffinton.

The following are the games during the coming week in which college teams will participate: Monday, Dartmouths vs. Waterburys, at Waterbury, Ct.; Tuesday, Browns vs. Boston Unions, at Providence; Dartmouth vs. Techs., in Boston; Princetons vs. New Yorks, at Princeton; Wednesday, Princetons vs. Philadelphias, at Princeton; Thursday, Harvards vs. Dartmouth, in Cambridge: Saturday, Amherst Freshmen vs. Yale Freshmen at New Haven; Browns vs. Beacons, at Providence.
