The vote for freshman director at Memorial took place last night and resulted as follows : A. Churchill, 92 ; G. L. Allen, 83; C. L. Griffin, 58; C. B. Saunderson, 33; H. P. Stow, 33; scattering, 17. The first two were elected.

The bass drum used by the Harvard Brass Band has been handsomely decorated with the college coat of arms and the words "Harvard College" above it in crimson. The work is that of Mr. F. H. Briggs, '85.

For the season of 1884 the report of the treasurer of the BaseBall Association of Princeton, shows that there has been received from loans, subscriptions, money from games, etc., $2,230. 76. Money expended in travelling, training, flexing the grounds, etc., $2,181,64, thus leaving a balance in the treasury of $49.12. From previous years, however, the association still has a debt of $646.

The Bowdoin crew for the intercollegiate four-oared race at Lake George next summer has been selected and the men are already hard at work. The crew will be Whittier, '85, (captain) stroke; Brown, '85, No. 3; Norris, '86, No. 2; Davis, '85, bow; Smith, '86, and Varney, '87, substitutes. A new shell will be ordered from Ruddock of Boston.
