The new method which Yale is trying this fall of having a class tournament in tennis to determine who shall represent the college at the coming intercollegiate match at Hartford is said to work very well. The immediate effect of the change has been to nearly double the number of entries, which now amount to fifty. The HERALD has already suggested the advisability of a trial of this method in one of Harvard's tournaments; our argument would seem to be strengthened by the result of Yale's experiment.
